May is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month

May is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month.  And May 17, 2021, is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day.

Neurofibromatosis, which is called NF, is a genetic condition usually manifesting in lots of bumps and tumors across the body. These tumors can be external or internal impacting critical organs. Most are non-cancerous, but they can appear in huge amounts and can be disfiguring.

To help spread awareness, here’s my NF story.
